Welcome to the Romance of Flight

Romance, intrigue, fascination, whatever the word, so very many of us are captivated by flight. On any given day of any week, at any airport in the world, you will see those of us who can't get enough of airplanes. From tiny Piper Cubs to the giant A380 Airbus we have formed a bond with these silver birds. From the wings of Icarus to the Queen of the Skies, the majestic 747, we have immortalized them in song, books and movies for generations. From Da Vinci to von Zeppelin to the Wright brothers man has yearned to fly.

I stand at the end of runway 5 and I watch a couple, she leaning back into his body, his arms gently surrounding her, wistful smiles on their lips as Alitalia sails gracefully past searching for the ground. My head turns towards a young family, the children jumping up and down with glee, as Dad points out Cathay Pacific as the next jewel in the necklace of twinkling lights approaching in the sky.

Emirates, Air France, KLM, British Airways, Etihad, LAN, El Al, Korean, visitors from every corner of the globe. Our imagination soars as our minds conjure up images of those far away lands. I see older couples, men, women, alone or in groups, people of all ethnicities pulled together embracing a common love. "The Romance of Flight".

The purpose of this website is to share our passion for planes with you. We are avid plane enthusiasts and we would like to let you see what we have done while pursuing our avocation.
